Get Lifted is the debut studio album by American singer John Legend. Information technology was released past Adept Music, Sony Urban Music, and Columbia Records on December 28, 2004 in the U.s.. The anthology was supported by four singles. The first single "Used to Love U" was released on August 31, 2004. The single received moderate commercial success, peaking at number 74 on the United states Billboard Hot 100 nautical chart.[2] The 2nd single "Ordinary People" was released on Apr 7, 2005. This became Fable'south first breakthrough hit. The vocal peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Fable's first superlative forty hit.[ii] It besides received success exterior of the The states. In the Britain, it was peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK R&B Singles nautical chart.[3] [4] The song also received three nominations at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards for Vocal of the Year, All-time R&B Song and Best Male R&B Vocal Operation, ultimately winning the latter. Become Lifted received generally positive reviews from music critics. BBC Music gave the album a favorable review and called information technology "an anthology that not just lived up to the hype, only rose squarely higher up information technology.
